I have never left a review for a shipping companies storefront before, but my experience yesterday prompted me to share as it left me feeling sick. I went into the store with my almost one year old puppy who is used to getting treats served to her behind the counter at UPS and so we walked in and she was sniffing behind the counter and I told the man who was helping me about this, apologizing for her persistence to see if there were treats behind the counter. Then my puppy sat, looked at me and barked to say, hey mom, give me a treat! The FedEx representative looked at me and said, “barking dogs don’t get treats.” Okay. Then I proceed to pull my shipping code out, he tells me it’s not a FedEx code. So I leave the store to find the email as he made me feel very uncomfortable about being in the store with my pup. I find the full email that indeed states the code is FedEx, I go back in and he reads it, tells me I had had the wrong code before (it was the same code) and then tells me it’s going to take at least two minutes to process. My pup is super social and wanted to say hi to a couple behind us and he said,” your dog is getting close to other customers.” Okay. Again, he is making me feel like I’m a pest and our presence is a nuisance. He hands me a receipt silently and I leave. I haven’t felt that small and belittled in a very long time. I will be going to a new FedEx that is much father away, but it’s worth the inconvenience if I MUST use FedEx. We will be sticking with our local UPS whenever possible as they make us feel welcome and appreciated every time we come in. Oh and they love pups and give barking and non barking pups all the pets and treats!

Ruby and her team are outstanding. They go above and beyond every time for us to provide on-time and quality service. This time, the large corrugated plastic “big check” we ordered was going to be slightly delayed, so they created a replica on foam board at no cost so that we would have one for our presentation this morning. Amazing!

Love N Gratitude

Depending on where I’m spending my day and what all I have to do, I usually go to the nearest Fed Ex to print. Not out of the ordinary. If you frequent the Fremont Street part of town, count your blessings! You have a printer right next to the computer, that shares the same desk. I surfed the web to pull up my assignments for school and to print. After logging off, the computer’s default was set to “receipt not printed, request help” or something close to that. I immediately thought “wth”? This has never happened before. I request black and white printing, so not too out of the ordinary. I didn’t see my printouts so I find someone and was told that their black and white printer wasn’t working. I was then told to print to the color printer and they would reimburse me the print cost and original time (Fed Ex charges by the minute). I wish they would have put up a sign warning me of this before charging my card. That way I could have made the decision to either continue here or just go to Fremont Street. Yikes! I spoke with the manager, Ruby, and she listened to my suggestion. I felt heard and that she was professional about it. So why three stars? This was a problem since yesterday and another customer had just experienced my same frustration. I tend to speak up when things could be better, not too many people do. As a book lover, I love that this location has books and journals. I almost succumbed to buying a book, but I’m reading quite a few at the moment.
