Amazing service in the ER this AM❗️ They came out to call me before I had even left the checkin counter!! I was just putting my insurance cards back in my wallet and they took me back. A nurse and doctor immediately entered the room as I was getting up onto the table. They took care of my situation… including X-rays…without any lull in procedures!! Best ER experience I’ve EVER had… and I’ve had plenty… kudos to Whidbey Health❗️❗️

The nursing staff is very compassionate and skilled, especially a nurse called something like Effie. She was wonderful and very kind! The food for general menu Patients was terrific! They Came around once day to check on your menu requests. My only problem was a nurse practitioner who spoke broken English and hard for me to communicate with him.There are some errors in my records that I need to address too!

To whom it may concern, I am a repeat patient with Whidbey in Coupeville. I have been served by our great hospital from the ER and imaging and I wish I would have had my hip surgery there as well. I won't get into the terrible service I received when I had hip surgery in Anacortes because that's not what this review is about. This review is about the people who work at Whidbey in Coupeville, again just to be sure... My experience has always... and I mean 100% always been positive at Whidbey. The staff are kind, caring, professional and...did I say caring? Like, the kind of caring you know is actually caring. When someone asked you how you were, they actually cared and it wasn't a canned response. Interfacing with patients and asking, not just asking but remembering me and my 4 little dogs, . I know excellence of service and I have received nothing but excellent service at Whidbey General. Might I add that in some of these reviews, it sounds like some of you needed a gynecologist and not a hospital... Just saying. Was told I would receive sleeping medicine suffering a three days no sleeping painful health issue, even agreed to go to a specialty inpatient clinic the next day, and they refused me sleeping medicine after that discussion out of pure laziness and disregard. I couldn't believe what a sadistic thing to do. They told me they would give me medicine, I sat there awake all night when a huge reason I'm even there is to recover, not to be parked in a room with, worst of all, lies. I asked four times and each time the person said, when they have time. And of course, no less than four staff just outside my room, talking behind the counter. No one had time for me though. I would not recommend them unless you're near death and even then you may not receive care. I couldn't believe how absolutely low class and shocking their work ethic is.
