This store has great service. I highly recommend this store. I created a rewards account online where I add the weekly ad coupons as well as the shop for U discounts. I save a minimum of $160 each month by taking advantage of these discounts. Thats not including the savings I get with my fuel points with the rewards program. There are times that I have saved $1 per gallon off fuel. Plus I use some of my rewards to get free items that I get to choose. I have also ordered groceries online and picked them up, which is a free service. I actually look forward to getting groceries!

Like most food supermarkets it carries food at fair prices. It carries a small amount of specialty items, like Numi tea, but mostly standard family needs and a small house items like the carpet cleaner I was looking for. Staff will readily help when one can find one. They do tend to be present mostly. It has still cashiers, but customers will find there are more automatic tills. A little less bewildering than Kroger, but it isn't a department store. You'll be happy to find your food there I bought a pair of readers, (glasses) for $10 less than Whole Foods. Nice frame, too. Right next to the No 52 and No 88 buses, with banks and a pizza shop nearby. In fact, Bimart is right there, too. Never had a hassle at Safeway.

This safeway only has one friendly cashier. The rest seem overworked, exhausted, and miserable. They do not like to answer your questions or help you in any regard. They also accuse me of stealing regularly, and check my bags against my receipt. I have never stolen from here and it's frustrating to always be profiled because of how I look/what I'm wearing/color, whatever it may be. On top of that, the Starbucks inside is the SLOWEST Starbucks in history of starbucks. There is one nice barista named Chloe and one similarly nice broista that works with her. They are both in training but nice. Overall I would recommend you go to any other store possible.
