Always buy the food with extra rewards as gas prices are crazy high. Never buy food I wouldn't normally eat. Pay attention at the register as the discounts don't always ring up properly.

One of the grocery stores open the latest in the area. Other than WinCo which is 24 hours, everything else including other Safeways closes at 11pm or earlier. I'm very glad there is a store besides WinCo open to shop at past 11:00 p.m. I like the fact self checkout is open late, I can shop for what I need, quickly pay for it myself at self checkout and get home without much fuss when it's late. Let's the employees do things like stock the shelves, etc which obviously we can't do as customers. I've been here several times and haven't needed much help from employees, so I can't comment on their helpfulness. But, everything was rather uneventful and went smoothly, which is how I like it. They were out of some meat that I wanted to buy for dinner, but most of the other stores in the area were all so out so that was hardly their fault. Prices are a little high on some items, but that's pretty typical of Safeway (and Albertsons). They do have some great deals on other things so you just sort of have to know what the shop for if your price conscious. They do have great quality produce here. Overall I would have no problem shopping here again.

As always, Safeway has the rudest employees. Self check out at 930 pm. The water I'm purchasing isn't in their system and needs override. Clerk comes over and swipes her card, punches some button and leaves.... I have two waters. Clerk come back and tell me she just showed me how to enter.... I don't have a badge for the override!
