Lead time was worse than advertised, and then there were additional shipping delays and miscommunications that they did not take responsibility for. As a result, we had to hire workers to hang around waiting for the slabs, only to have them not delivered. Happened three times. Would *not* recommend.

It was a difficult decision where to order my walnut countertop for my new kitchen island and I finally decided on the premium walnut wide plank from Hardwood Lumber Co. The order process was seamless and Martha Mae Kurtz contacted me right away to clarify the order. It shipped quickly and was packaged very well. There was a minor quality issue however Martha was very quick to respond and we came to an acceptable solution. I would order again from Hardwood Lumber and my countertop is lovely.

I wanted to love this product/experience as I had done a ton of research prior to ordering. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with their service and product in whole. 1- I ordered 6 different samples under the impression this would be credited to my order. Not the case, they only credit up to $120 in samples. 2- once I decided and placed my order (they were great and helped me order over the phone), my order was made very fast! Only great part of this experience. 3- my order showed up for delivery. After spending $332.15 on delivery I was SHOCKED when the delivery driver left my $4,000 countertops ON THE SIDEWALK. I live in Philadelphia on a busy block. They would not even bring them in the door. This is unacceptable! 4- I call and all customer service would say was that they were sorry to hear this was not explained to me. I am sorry but when spending $4K, I would hope better customer service would be provided 5- the bolts to join my countertops we not included when I was charged for them ($50). 6- I know wood colors vary but the sample and the countertops are pretty different and I do not love them. Overall, VERY disappointed with the money spent and lack of customer service and quality from this company.

Had them make a butcher block for a kitchen island. The basic quality of the workmanship was good, except for two things. There's a scraggly, dime-sized hole from a knot that I'll have to repair before I finish it (the other side is worse). That section of wood clearly should not have been used! How hard would it have been to exclude it? Also, someone dragged the whole thing across a sharp edge before they boxed it up, so now it's got a massive scratch across half of it that will require significant sanding to repair. Basic carelessness, in other words. The attention to detail with this company just doesn't seem to be there. Not impressed.
