Was a beautiful place, but they have been taking down trees. Great fishing spots, hopefully they are adding more into it so it's not just a bare spot where the trees where once where.

the city didn't buy it the conservation district did. I happened to run into them while I stopped out on the right side of the gate though and they answered me very professionally. this is what they said. as of right now it is not open to the public for fishing. they said they have some stuff that theyre doing back there so that it would be more than just a fishing spot. if you are back there it is trespassing as of right now. take heed to the warning and just respect their wishes because theyre doing a lot for the springfield community by adding more nature trails and fishing spots.
