It's great for transfer to the LIRR and connection to the (J)(Z). Is an accessible station. The station suffers from homeless and is a pretty bad neighborhood around the station. The Airtrain is a good transfer point here too, but you have to pay $8 to get in.

Yes there is
It is easy. You need to take the Airtrain to Jamaica Station. When you arrive at the Jamaica station, you need to obtain a MetroCard for the airtrain ($5) and for the subway ($2.75). When you exit the airtrain, keep walking until you reach the double doors to exit. You will be at the Jamacia station for the long island railroad. Keep walking to the end until you see the elevators. You will go through two elevators before reaching the end. You take the elevator there. You won't get lost because lots of people will walk to the train. you will see.
I don't know the exact answer but if you take the E or J subways, both have stops right beneath the station. Should you be approaching in a different manner, phone the MTA info # and get every possibility.
Should you provide more specific info, I may be able to respond.
In the LIRR main ticket office and waiting room, there are rest rooms.
