Great venue for my cousin's baby shower. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. The mandatory valet parking was a bit annoying, but otherwise this was a great location.

Spanish Tavern is a very good representation of Spanish food adapted for an American audience, and they have some typical plates you would expect from a classic steakhouse as well. The crispy octopus, batatas bravas (new style), and empanadas are always a go to for us to start. Seafood stew (Mariscara marinera), gambas grelhado (grilled prawns) and of corse paella are on point as well. The service leaves nothing to be desired very well staffed, friendly, and classy wait staff. The house sangria is great but a bit expensive, bite the bullet.

They are great, super recommended. They check temperature, respect social distance on the tables. Very clean and the food so delicious.
Someone else in my party ordered some and I tasted it. It was pretty okay. Their food is pretty good.
1. I would not call it authentic Spanish on all dishes( as in a country Spain). Paella is on a menu but not Valenciana type like in Spain. You will not find Gazpacho either on a menu. If you asking about other authentic Spanish dishes from other Hispanic cultures: pernil or VacaFrita, nope. Please, check out the Menu for a full scope, it might help you better understand what they serve. But food is very good, fresh. 2. I do not know if owners are same or not. Never been to Newark location. Perhaps, you can Google that info. Hope this helps 🙏
