Her bedside manner is phenomenal. Further, she will look for the least invasive solution, but when surgery is required, she will make determinations based on what you really need. My rotator cuff was far more damaged than thought. Two anchors and two years later i have 90% of my mobility back. The last 10% is due to my need for personal physical therapy (my thumb only reaches the bottom of my shoulder blade. I have better mobility than most people with my injury, and have had it since six weeks after surgery. I have no physical limitations and no atrophy. If your looking for a place to stop looking, this is it! Warning, the two to three days after surgery is not for the faint of heart. You will recover. She is the best!

Dr. Dhar first saw me crippled with my knees and she fit me into her schedule that very day. She really worked magic and I had walked in with crutches and was able to walk out without my crutches. She drained my Baker’s cysts and recommended PT which really helped. She also later injected gel under my knee caps and it was extremely helpful. She listens and hears you. She takes all the time you need to attend to your concerns and treatment. I wish I could give her 10 Stars!

Dr. Dhar repaired my rotator cuff six years ago. Although I had significant inflammation (waited too long) my surgeon worked her "magic" and left me with a fully functioning shoulder with full range of motion. Most notable was the total lack of pain post op and since and a very short recovery time. My only regret is my rating is limited to 5 stars by Google.

Questions & Answers

Have you used the regenteren patch for large complete rotator cuff tears? If so, have they been successful? Thanks

Yes. The idea behind the regeneten implant is to support the body’s natural healing response and tissue response. It can be used alone for partial cuff tears as well as an addition to a full thickness tear repair site as a biological enhancement. I have had good success with its use in the correct setting. Every rotator cuff tear is not the same so for some tears this patch may not be a viable option. Please contact my office for a consultation if you would like to discuss the Regeneten patch and other possible options further.

How do you rehab for total shoulder replacement? How long is rehab?

Usually physical therapy is needed for about 3-4 months, first working on range of motion, then progressive strengthening. Although most people can use their arm/hand for texting, eating, writing, dressing within 1-2 weeks of surgery.
