Update 4/12/2022: Maven reached out to me a day or two after the botched pickup and not only apologized, but gave me a decent amount of store credit to use for another purchase, which I took them up on. Adding a star for good customer service and communication. Also, in case better detail is helpful, the containers are generally polypropylene plastic containers that seal pretty well or zip-seal plastic bags. One complaint about their procedures: they do not label their containers to make it clear what's gluten-free, dairy-free, etc, unlike the way they do it on their website. Frustrating if you're ordering for a gluten-free housemate in addition to yourself. This needs to be changed. ---------------------------------- Original 3 star review: Maven Meals doesn't deliver to my zip code, though I'm only located 30 minutes away from their facility. When I went to pick my meal order up, they brought only half of it out to me, which I didn't discover until I got home. This necessitated another trip to their facility; no compensation (coupon/discount or otherwise) was offered for the mistake that cost an extra hour of time and fuel. The meals themselves are decent, but overly salty in general. The packaging is... Adequate. Great idea, suboptimal execution and options. At least I don't need to cook much for the next few days.

I'm starting a very busy year at work, and started using Maven meals to order my lunches about a month ago. I was worried the portion sizes would be too small, but they are just about right (I also supplement with other food that requires little prep- fruit, carrots, sweet potatoes- throughout the day). In addition to saving me at least a half hour a day, it's been an unexpected mental weight off to have one less thing to do. Very reasonably priced. I'm also able to stay vegan and accomodate my basil allergy. I really appreciate the wide variety and detailed lists of ingredients.

*edited from 2 stars up to 4 as Maven meals gave me an awesome replacement. Will continue to use Maven. Original review - I ordered a whole eggnog cheesecake for Christmas dessert and it's not worth serving. When I opened the box it was obviously overcooked as the edges were brown, the middle of the cheesecake had sunk, and you could see visible chunks from the batter not being well mixed. Tried a bit just to see and indeed it wasn't creamy and smooth like a cheesecake should be. The flavor was good though, which is the only reason it's not 1 star.
