If you're here for food you you are making a mistake. I've multiple food sensitivity issues which are listed on each meal ticket and missed 3-5 times weekly. I've done my best to remain civil and avoided displaying my incontinence on the floor the staff is pretty good by and large. But the kitchen is soon uptake and sadly amateur.

Terrible place to work and leave your loved ones. I would NEVER leave my mom or any loved ones here! They are forever understaffed and over work the staff they do have and do not appreciate them. The director of nursing is trying to make it a better place but while doing so she treats the staff horribly and instead of uplifting staff, she tears them down. Which is why they are so understaffed. No one wants to work there. The bath aide gets pulled to the floor weekly and residents are lucky if they get one shower a week. Because they can’t staff enough people the residents do not get the care they deserve or need. I now work in another facility and when people find out that I used to work here, the reaction I ALWAYS get is “Oh that place is BAD” or “That place is still running?!” Linden Grove Health Care is known all over the area and nobody has anything good to say about it.

My husband and 3 children (4, 7, 10) visited my estranged mother who was in a coma. There was no one there to show us where to find her room, so I asked a nurse that was passing us in the hallway. She immediately said, "You know she's dying, right?" with no regard for our children standing right there. There was no reason that she couldn't have pulled me aside instead of announcing it in such an insensitive way. While visiting my mother to now say our goodbyes, her roommate pressed the nurse button for assistance to get to the bathroom but no one came to help her. She started asking nurses as they were walking by and was told that someone else would come to help her. We were there for over an hour and she never got to the bathroom. My husband left me to be alone with my mother and said other patients were also not getting assistance even though they were pressing the button or asking nurses when they saw them, which made us feel that ignoring patients is the norm. There were no emergencies as nurses were visible everywhere, it just felt like they couldn't be bothered to do their jobs. My mother passed the following evening and I called Linden Grove later that week to see if I could get information from her medical records since I have the same disease that killed her. I was transferred to someone's voicemail and left a message. No one ever called me back. My overall opinion of this place is close to hell on earth. The environment is depressing and boring. I couldn't imagine having to wait so long to use the bathroom or get help with anything else that I need when I'm living in a place that is designed to do just that. All I keep thinking is, if they treat people like this when others are around, how are they when no one else can see? Even though my mother and I were estranged for good reasons, I wouldn't have wanted her to live there. This place isn't humane enough for my worst enemy.

Fantastic care, conscientious and competent. Comfortable and safe environment, great staff that works as a team. Nurses that pay attention and get to know patients. Therapy that is proactive and understanding. Activities goes out of their way for individual care. Best decision I could have made for my mom was placing her here. She is treated with respect and dignity by everybody even the cleaners.

Thanks for asking, Genesis Healthcare is the parent company of Linden Grove. So the name is actually the "Genesis Linden Grove Health care center"
You can apply at genesishcc.com under the career tab, and also via a link in the footer of the website.
Thanks for your question. Linden Grove has no set visiting hours, they just ask if you arrive later in the evening to be respectful of sleeping patients. If you would like to call them on their room phone, all calls are routed to the nurses station who work the evening shift. The receptionist does work from 9 to 5 daily.
The receptionist works from 9 to 5, and all calls afterward are then routed directly to our nurses station. Linden Grove is a 24/7 facility. Direct numbers to a patients room can also be provided at any time.
