I just wanted to say, I have been to Helen a dozen times over the years and loved it. I was there in July and just wanted to say, how disappointed I was. The town has lost it's bearing, it's beauty and is looking like a run down vacation stop. The streets and around the stores are absolutely disgusting. The buildings need painting and a serious cleaning up. I always recommended Helen to people but, I certainly won't anymore. I have gone to the Chamber before and reported how unkept everything looks and it doesn't appear to matter because, it looks worse now. Go somewhere else.

Very disappointed. Drive 1000 miles to vacation in Helen 22 May - 29 May 2022 and most of the town closes up at 6 pm. Only a couple of shops open till 8. Restaurants close by 9. This is a vacation town. Need to all stay open ti 8 or 9 . Not just after Memorial Day. Some of us have to be back to work Memorial day thru labor day
