Thank you CVI and your entire staff for resuming the low vision support group. It is a great gift to be back together after the 2 year pandemic pause

Very nice people doing very important work to help those visually impaired. Also, a neat store inside with devices and aides for the blind or visually impaired.

My only experience has been the on site store that is a place where you can find solutions for problems that limit you every day. I especially like hands on attention with each customer. They do need to find better way to organize physical inventory, especially with the many more items they add all the time which can be more challenging when the associates happen to be visually impaired themselves.

There are multiple resources available for the blind. The Center is an excellent place for both their resources as well as information and guiding people to others
CVI work with blind people with rehabilitation mobility, using a cane and adaptive equipment , they will send someone to evaluate her needs
No. The trainings are at the center.
MARTA Mobility bus goes to the Center for the Visually Impaired. Contact MARTA for scheduling.
Have you tried CVI??? Also, most ipads have good accessability settings for people with vision problems.
I believe there are a very few spaces on the back side of facility. They are entered from the side street. 6th Street I believe.
Just to be clear, this incident took place 50plus miles away from The Center for Visually Impaired, which is located in Midtown Atlanta, close to the Fox Theater, etc.
CVI is not a residential property and its open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. As far as training goes, it depends on what are trying to accomplish.
CVI offers rehabilitation services for all ages from infancy through adults. In addition to these services, clients and program alumni provide social activities at the center, such as movie nights, support services for clients with diabetes, and opportunities for public speaking. The center offers a variety of resources including information on new technologies for clients who have visual impairments. Please take the time to go in and talk with a specialist about how CVI can help.
