I have been a member since 99 and I graduated from the apprenticeship program in 2004 as a journeyman wireman. One of the best decisions I made in my life as a young man. Hands down the best education and hands on training you can get in the electrical field.

If Robbie is your rep. Bail and stop giving them money, that man is so full of s@#$ you can't tell what is actually happening. Worst union in Georgia for sure

Yes
I'm a member of another craft, and can only speak for my Union, though I think IBEW is probably similar: if one comes in as an apprentice, the board may give credit for time worked in a related field. We have an examining board & I'm pretty sure that, if you would be coming in as a journeyman, they would figure your status based on work experience and your test scores, etc
Not sure, I'm a UA hand, but I bank there. I think they have several programs with (somewhat) different requirements. I would guess that, like us, they require HS diploma/GED, 18 or older, the usual stuff
Yes he can. To start in the apprenticeship he must be 18 and a high school graduate.
Once the application is turned in, a week max.
It depends on the the year or level.
You will need some form of ID. I don't think it has to be a license just proof of residency. You must also have your diploma or high school transcript/ged, As well as your birth certificate and social security card.
It really all depends. Everybody has a past and we all understand.
