Authentic. The dishes are difficult and time consuming so we go here to have Puerto Rican food. Reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking. The alcapurria took me to childhood in Philly and I’m looking forward to trying some of their other dishes.

Al fin....about time. A more needed Puertorican and a Dominican restaurant. I ordered a Rib eye Steak with mixed vegetables and tostones. Only second to my Mom's. Delicioso. Also the Mofongo with Carne Frita..coño que rico. I'm coming back.

I hardly ever leave reviews but this place deserves them. First and last time I eat here. The alcapurrias, apart from being very expensive, were pasty, fluffy and with little meat. The jibarito is the worst I have ever eaten, the fried plantain was like stone and the ingredients were not fresh. An embarrassment for Puerto Rican gastronomy.

Since leaving New York it's been hard finding a Puerto Rican or Dominican restaurant in the Virginia area. We were told about this restaurant last month from an insurance adjuster and we decided to give it a try. We absolutely fell in love with everything - from the ambiance to the servers and especially to the food! The food is so authentically made that it took us back to our neighborhood in Queens. I already told my family back in New York that when they visit we will be taking them to Monfongo steakhouse ☺️ lol! We will be regular customers of this establishment 😍.
