After interviewing and obtaining bids from three different renovation companies, we selected ALL R&D to assist us with the redesign and complete remodels of two full bathrooms. All three bids were within a 5% range. From design through completion ALL R&D was professional, innovative, pleasant and accommoating despite some unexpected challenges in the form of hidden water damage uncovered and material supply issues caused by the Pandemic. Their technical knowledge and the quality of their work is top notch. They are well respected by other construction professionals as evidenced by seamlessly working with our Township inspectors ( and our insurance company) to quickly formulate a plan to resolve our water damage issue and move forward with repairs and completion of the renovation. We love our new baths and are grateful that we selected ALL R&D. Thanks to them, we accomplished all that we envisioned for this project. Dana & Pat Nonnenmocher

The Team at ALL Remodeling were outstanding, from the first meeting until the last walked through. I interviewed three company before choosing All Renovations; Valerie was amazing, I had no idea what to do with my kitchen and she came up with a great design based on our needs and space. She gave me a open floor plan that we loved while utilizing every single corner and maximizing our cabinets space. Their contractor were very professional, with lots of experience and communicated with us daily. The company overall communication is great and it made the experience of renovating less stressful. The only thing I would say is the type of cabinets/cabinets company that we chose were not really what we expected. With a few minor detail expected delay on some finishes the team at All renovation made sure we were very satisfied and happy with final results. I will recommend the team at All Renovation for a less stressful renovation experience.

After 57 years in our home and with many construction projects over those years, we finally decided to have a propane gas fireplace installed with a 75" TV mounted above the mantel. ALL was the only one of four bidders to actually come to do a comprehensive pre-bid walkdown to determine what work was required and provide an accurate proposal. Upon completion of the project, the final cost was less than 3/4% over the estimated cost and the quality of the work was excellent. I would definitely not hesitate to hire them again for any future projects.

We had recently moved into a new home with an unfinished basement. I contacted Amos, who very quickly responded and set up an estimate. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. The short version is that they did what they said they would do, on time, and fairly priced. We added a bedroom, half-bath and lounge area to the basement. Additionally, we enclosed our furnace area and improved our storage space. We were grateful for their superior communication. There were no surprises and when something came up that needed attention (which is a guarantee during such a large project) they were adamant in making sure we were well informed. Another very valuable aspect is their wisdom. Smart choices were suggested, but without sacrificing style or driving up cost. We made a substantive change order in the middle of the job due to how well (and beautiful) the work was coming along. Amos and his team handled it without breaking a sweat. It was a great experience start to finish and the work was absolutely top-shelf.

Questions & Answers

What’s Going to Happen to my Home during the process?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

The demo process is a messy process – it gets worse before it gets better. We have a process to protect the homeowner’s floors, furniture, and other items in the home. We work with the homeowner to make sure things are out of the way to disrupt their home as little as possible, and barricade or put up plastic walls where needed. We communicate constantly to be up-front about what will be happening and when to minimize mess and to make sure everyone is comfortable with what’s going on. It can feel a bit like a home invasion. The area in your home being worked on might be ripped up and look pretty awful before it starts coming together, including holes for fixtures and wiring, dust and debris going out, But I’ll say this, too: Every day before our crew leaves a project, they make sure the area they’ve been working in is clear and clean.

Can I Request Changes After Work Has Begun?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

A customer can request changes, but you should be aware it may come with an added cost to redo work or acquire new items for the project. Some smaller items may be quick with minimal cost, such as an additional light or changing a paint color. Typically, our design process is very thorough to avoid costly changes down the line. However, sometimes during remodeling, you find things you weren’t expecting and changes might be needed. Lastly, we encourage homeowners to wait to see the finished product. The wall color or countertop might look differently than you expected, but when you see it all together it looks great.

Do you have design/architect partners you often recommend to your clients?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

I sometimes work with 3rd party designers to be sure we’re absolutely providing what the homeowner is wanting. As needed we can create real-to-life 3D drawing. For example, we worked with a homeowner who had a statement piece of furniture they wanted to match everything to, the colors and the style, the details and the trim. We brought in an interior designer who sat down with all of us and collaborated with us, not just discussing the kitchen flooring or cabinets, but the decorations, wall color, trim, and the look they were going for.

How Would You Describe Your Design Style?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

My design style is simple: My clients’ design style. We work collaboratively with clients on what they’re envisioning. If it’s farmhouse, we’ve done some beautiful farmhouse country looks. If it’s industrial or modern or vintage, we’ve done exemplary work in those areas. We work with what the client is picturing and examples they’ve seen. My design style is also: quality, always quality. A quality product that is valuable and durable for the price, and quality service every step of the way.

What Are Some Common Price Ranges for Your Bathroom Remodeling Projects?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

A typical range is between $15,000 and $28,000, but can require an even greater investment if there is a large amount of tile for a floor or large shower. The lower end bathrooms can include fiberglass tubs or showers, a vinyl floor, and new fixtures. The middle and higher ranges come with tile floors, working with a linen closet or other feature, and a glass surround or a tiled shower.

What Are Some Common Price Ranges for Your Kitchen Remodeling Projects?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

In general, a kitchen can range in cost from $25,000 to $55,000. The lower end excludes appliances, and may not include flooring or new lighting or granite countertops. However, depending on the type of house and style of a kitchen, a high-end project could be $50,000 to $120,000 investment. This is more likely to involve new cabinets, flooring, granite or quartz countertops, new fixtures and tiling, appliances, and other updates for the room. Typically most of our projects involve creative design with functionality and esthetics in mind throughout the entire kitchen space and connecting spaces. Therefore a kitchen remodel price range can vary significantly.

What Is Your Typical Project Lead Time?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

For a kitchen project, we work with a three-month lead time. That time includes the initial conversation, preliminary assessment or solution, the design process and selection, and then we can begin the construction. A bathroom typically takes a bit less time, around two months. Smaller projects can be done much more quickly. Additions will take more time. They include zoning details, permits, stormwater management, and a lot of extra considerations that can take up to six months to work through. Additions require more detailed blueprints and plans. A good time to start talking with a contractor is in the fall, so you can be moving on it in the spring or summer, if that’s what you’re looking for.

When Is the Best Time to Do a Home Remodeling Project? Does timing matter?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

The best timing is the one that works for you, the homeowner. When would a renovation project be least disruptive to your lifestyle and schedule? Winter can be a good time to complete interior projects since they’re not dependent on waiting for good weather outside. For an addition to a home, the best time is to start in the spring and go into the summer, or start a project in the late summer and go into the fall. If someone isn’t comfortable with people in their house without them home, we can work around their schedule. It really comes back to the homeowner and their own schedule. We’ve done projects for teachers who preferred us to work in the summer when they were home. We’ve also done projects for homeowners who preferred to do the work during the school year when their kids are out of the house.

What Are Some Planning Mistakes to Avoid?

ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019
ALL Renovation & Design LLC | Nov 7, 2019

The planning mistake we run into the most often with clients is them expecting too short of a timeline, which doesn’t allow for flexibility. We put a lot of effort into outlining a project with the least amount of time as possible to accommodate the client. So having a flexible mindset with the homeowner to manage anything that comes up is key in planning and approach. In the planning stage, it’s also good to understand that a real home renovation isn’t really like a TV show. Those shows wrap up entire fixer uppers in less than an hour. In reality these changes take weeks. We also recommend measuring the communication style of a contractor. What are the communication expectations throughout the project? Strong communication will keep things running smoothly. Plan to work with someone who is a good communicator. Structural integrity is also an important feature contractors can work with homeowners on.
