I switched dry cleaners so that I could pay a little extra and not shrink my clothes and break my buttons. Unfortunately, within a month, Monterey Dry Cleaners lost a pair of suit pants (found them a day or two later), and stained two brand new white dress shirts by getting rust, grease, or some other brown substance on them. The people there are nice, and were able to get the brown marks out of my shirts. I appreciate that they addressed the problem quickly.

Though they were very quick with their turnaround for alterations, I was unhappy with the results. The pants pocket they sewed ripped open immediately on the first wear and the button closure on the chest area of a dress I had altered would not stay closed and was visible while wearing and they would not sew it closed like I had asked. They suggested I just safety pin the dress shut. They were going to charge me an additional $17 to fix these problems on top of the $80 I had already paid including the hem on the dress. They also would not alter an item they felt was too low quality for it to be worthwhile, but I was really excited to wear the item so I am very disappointed to now have to either return it or find another place to alter it.
