I remember visiting here at a camporee in Scouts a long time ago, at least a decade ago. I recall that the caverns were shut down, and not running. It's very nice to see them up and running again!

Ariana was our guide and was very knowledgeable and helpful. A very authentic experience without all the touristy hype you run into other places. Felt like we were walking in the footsteps of Union soldiers who were billeted here in 1862. Like if you blinked you might catch a glimpse of a soldier standing there writing his name on the cavern wall. Fascinating place! Do you do private tours?

Beautiful building and caverns. And the farmland around it is breathtaking. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend visiting here if you love caverns and history!
