Well maintained Cemetary with Confederate Soldiers graves and active present day cemetery. Large center momument the the Confederate fallen. Multiple signs which are very informative. Highly recommended for the study of the Civil War.

Yes, it is open to the public but I am unsure if all/any public people are allowed to be buried there.
I would have to guess that the answer is yes. I saw a number of headstones in the back that were relatively current. Most recent I saw was 2014, but I did not look at them all. There was still a lot of unused area but then again unused does not mean that they are not spoken for. Hope that kinda helps.
A whole bunch, from several different states. The sign there (which I have a picture of) says there are 745. A lot (but not all) of them are documented. There is a list on that sign, so you can find a specific person easier. I will post my picture of the sign with the list of names, so you can see it.
