My wife and I purchased a new GMC Terrain from Buchanan a few weeks ago. Their prices were by far better than any other GMC dealer in the area. We were promptly greeted by Dennis Keadle and had a pleasant experience with him throughout the entire transaction. He was joined by Xavier who helped finish the sale. I drove 600+ miles from Michigan to buy a Honda truck from Buchanan Automotive. Upon visiting the dealership early morning, the next day, I was greeted by one of their delightful sales agents, DJ, who guided me to a parking place in front of the dealership. DJ introduced me to the sales manager, Jason whom I had an appointment to meet with that morning. I found Jason to be very personable and cordial. As I discovered later, the Honda truck had been on the dealership lot for a while. In fact, the truck was marked down $1,000 the morning I started driving to the dealership. I pointed this out to then in one of my text messages the day I was driving to the dealership. Ironically, they would not honor the reduced price which was still visible on Autotrader as I was negotiating to purchase the truck. I was constantly being reminded that the dealership website still showed the price before it was reduced. Another anomaly I encountered about the dealership is, I was told, they would not take a down payment by phone to hold a vehicle. The day before I started driving to the dealership, I was reminded repeatedly that the vehicle may not be available for purchase when I arrive at the dealership. It appears that the dealership has been in a successful business since its inception and the policy has worked for them. From my perspective, as a buyer, it would have been more assuring for me to know the vehicle would be there after driving 600+ miles. All in all, I was treated fairly despite these issues and would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Buchanan Automotive. I appreciate what you did for me Jason, and DJ. DJ offered to bring my new truck to BWI, or one of the other airports. That is going beyond the call of duty.
