Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. However we do recommend that you do not apply anything to the area for 12 hours. Use of the 36 needle tip may have a prolonged facial redness. Talk to your provider about recovery period. We are confident that the recovery time is well worth it!

Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting procedure, take even better care of themselves. However, if you do gain weight, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.

During the procedure you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. Rare side effects may also occur. The CoolSculpting procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. The CoolSculpting procedure is not a treatment for obesity. As with any medical procedure, ask us if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you.

Results are typically noted after your first treatment. In about 7-10 days after your procedure the hair in the treated area will shed resulting in a “honeymoon” phase where you experience limited hair growth. The destroyed hairs will not return but other hairs entering into the growth phase start to show about the time for you to return for your next treatment; every 4 weeks for the face, every 6 weeks for the mid body and every 8 weeks for the legs.
