I had to get more packing envelopes for my business. The lady at the register was so nice to me. They are close to my shop it's so convenient for me.

I went to this store to grab some coffee and lighters about 40 or 30 minutes before the store closed and had a very unhelpful cashier who I suspect purposefully stole some of my merchandise. They did not answer me when I asked pointed questions but instead sighed and just answered me rudely with the action in question. For example, when they were done ringing me up I asked if it was too late for me to put my phone number in to check for coupons as a rewards member, and instead of answering me verbally, they merely punched a couple of keys on the register, and I saw the screen on my credit card reader machine go back a couple marks to a page where I could indeed input my phone number again as asked. These things alone would not bother me as they are rather small potatoes in the grand scheme of things: I’ve been a cashier and maybe this person was just having a bad day or perhaps they were dragging because it was close to the end of their shift. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the fact that this person purposefully ignored my question that caused me to leave some of my merchandise, small items that were difficult to detect as to if they were in the bags in my possession or if they were in a bag still on the cashier’s round table of 4 bag stacks (the table serving to assist the cashier that goes round and round so they have access to multiple bags at once all on this device as rotates around on its center). Therefore, I honestly think the cashier was purposefully trying to steal the items I left, which happened to be expensive (compared to non-refillable bic style lighters) torch lighters that were about $15 or $20 total in cost, and now I have no proof as to whether or not these claims are even true. I have my receipt but how do I prove I didn’t actually receive the items in question, but I do know I specifically asked this cashier, with my hands full of bags, my wallet and phone, and clearly unable to lean and look over for myself, “Did I get all of my bags and all of my stuff? And that they did not just ignore my question entirely, but walked away simultaneously toward the employee break room off the side behind the area where the registers are. So either they didn’t take the time to care and look or they wanted to keep these items for themselves which does also make sense considering these items are arguably universally coveted among people who use lighters a lot (because they are much more convenient such as when it is windy or when it’s dark outside or for using lighters when higher heat is needed than what bic type lighters can offer, and these torch style lighters are also refillable which is why I like them: they save money over time though they are originally more expensive at time of purchase but as long as you don’t lose them or use them in such a way that causes them to stop working, they last much longer than “regular” lighters), and they also are all missing because the cashier put them all in one bag together without any other of the merchandise I bought (which happened to be perishable grocery items) even though the size of the items that are missing is so small it would be odd to put nothing else in the same bag. Then again, I understand there are reasons and circumstances that common sense argue I am totally over reacting and not considering other factors, and hey, it’s not like it was $50 or $100 worth of items, but I do have an intuitive feeling this was done intentionally due to how this cashier was feeling about life or about me at that time, and that is Negligent and unacceptable customer service.

Great friendly employees in this store. Even though this particular store has too much stuff, it's always easy to find what I'm looking for.

Tonight when we walked in the door to this store at 9:50 (yes I know they closed at 10:00). There was a boy standing with his arms propped up on some shelving on his phone while his co-worker was mopping. As we walked by he made a comment about us drinking. We had not been drinking at all and we were joking with him them about us coming in at closing time. Then he became very rude to us and insinuating that we are stupid and we were just trying to be friendly while he sat behind the counter and let his co worker do everything. I really wish I knew his name. He was a heavy set guy with a ponytail in his hair. I am very disappointed in Dollar General to have people like that employeed there. I use to be a manager for Dollar General and I would never have an employee like that working for me. I wish I knew his name and the store number this was unacceptable.
