Is there still a working pay phone here?

In may 2018 there was no cell service for verizon or wifi even in the lodge but there is a working pay phone there.

No gas station in Kennedy Meadows, make Sure you fill up in Sonora or James town

Why can't I ride my bike through the meadow. Not trying to destroy the trails, just trying to ride rather then hike. The trails are already used by horses..

Portions of the trails are not good for bikes, granite steps & the meadows can get boggy as well as the trails

At general store and restaurant.

May 23-24 no one is answering the phone up there. Or at the homes in Oakdale or clayton CA. What has happened?

Not sure, I stayed there last year and it was the coolest place I've ever stayed. Maybe a phone or electrical outage. They run off a generator, which shuts off at 11 pm normally. Do whatever it takes to stay there.
