Disappointed in the quality of the food for the price. Hamburger way overcooked, sent it back and came back much better. Could use seasoning, on everything! Burger flavorless. Chicken on panini not even pepper or salt. Drinks expensive. This place has a beautiful location in a wealthy area trafficked by those looking to explore Loch Raven. Maybe they've gotten complacent?

This is an awesome bar and restaurant. Was in from out of town and found this place to be just what we were looking for: good drinks, good food and great atmosphere. If Jeremy is working the bar I recommend you order a Guinness and I’m sure you’ll stay awhile. Look forward to the next time.

Stopped by for some drinks and appetizers. The fries, tenders, and steak pizza were all fresh and excellent! Eric took really good care of us. The view from the deck was a plus too- we’ll be back!

Dear McFaul's, We live 1/2 mile away and love getting carryout - your food is awesome! However, I would like to offer a few constructive suggestions: 1. Train the people which answer the phone to also take orders. It is typical that I either get hung on hold forever or disconnected while the person who answers the phone tries to get me to a server. 2. Consider online ordering. Not one of those dumb services that charge a huge fee and marks up your food. Add it to your website. Any web designer can do that for you. 3. When you offer curbside pickup, be consistent with it. When you tell the patron "There's nobody to bring it to your car, can you come in and get it", it looks bad when 3 people are gabbing it up at the check-in counter over their bag of food. 4. On your online menu, mention if a dish comes with one or two sides or whatever the options are. 5. Bring back smashburgers, please. Thank you again for being here. You get busy for very good reason! We love you.

Can our family of 8 and a 14month old sit together inside the restaurant?

Foards Inc | Nov 6, 2021
McFaul's IronHorse Tavern | Nov 6, 2021

Hi there, unfortunately we would have to have you at 2 separate tables due to the Governor’s mandate of only 6 to a table. We can’t take any chances with the current landscape and the new 24/7 hotline. You would be in the same room, just distanced 6 feet from the other table. Thank you and happy thanksgiving!

Is the online curb side menu current? What desserts are available? Thank you!

Hi Patricia, we are doing carryout only today and tomorrow and will be open for sit down dining Wednesday starting at 4pm. We are working on an updated schedule and plan on being open for sit down lunch starting this Friday.

How old is this building and how long has the restaurant been there?

Awesome question!! The original part of the restaurant was built in 1886 and was many things over the years including a blacksmith shop, mail stop and quarters to the National Guard during a portion of World War 2. The Sanders family bought it in the 50’s and sold ice cream. Ron Sanders turned it into a restaurant in the 90’s. We purchased the restaurant in January 2012 and opened June 29, 2012. We have been blessed to be celebrating 7 years of successful business!!! You can follow this link to get more on the history and thank you for your question! https://www.mcfaulsironhorse.com/history

Menus are on their web site. Excellent kitchen staff and service.

I am not sure of their reservation policies but it is a pretty popular place so I would make reservations if you can. The bar is "seat yourself" btw

We had a great lunch. Not bar food. They have a nice menu. Middle of the week for lunch and it was totally packed at 2:00.
