Back in the 1980's I used to sell at this Lions Club Flea Market when it was located on a then open field, I believe on Commerce and Brandon. It was an AWESONE place to sell. Back then most vendors sold new items. On a good day I would make $2000. On a bad day about $400 to $500. The only problem with that location was the weather. If it rained heavily on Thursday or Friday the field would be muddy.... and a few times the flea market was canceled. Back then we had no technology so you'd have to get up and drive there hoping it would be ok... I tried the Hechinger Dr location in the beginning for about 2 years. It was a late crowd but if you wanted a spot back then you'd better be there by 5:30AM. Everyone wanted everything for NOTHING. They didn't want to spend any money. They wanted you to GIVE your merchandise away. The only restrooms were in Burger King and they were NASTY! I went from making $400 to $2000 a day at the old spot to less than $200 on a GOOD day IF I was lucky. I finally stopped going there. It wasn't worth my time. I wish everyone good luck but this is NOT a good location if you're trying to make extra money to help your finances.. But I guess not a bad spot if you just want to get rid of your junk.

Good morning Christina, Our last flea market of the year is Saturday, 20 November 2021. If you would like to sell, come to the Lions tent at 7:00 am (Row 1, Space 2 near the entrance of the parking lot). We have reserved spaces up until that time. After 7:00 am, a new vendor may occupy any open space. We will resume markets in mid-to-late April 2022.
Hi Gloria, Just show up around 7 am on Saturday. Vendor spaces are reserved the previous Saturday, but we can assign any unoccupied spaces at that time. See the Springfield Franconia Host Lions Club website for vendor rules. The fee is $20/space. Thanks for your interest in our flea market.

Good afternoon Sonny. Saturday flea markets run every week through mid-November. Spaces (essentialy parking spaces) are "reserved" for the next flea market when fees are collected between 9:00 and 10:00 am. For example, on September 10th, vendors indicated whether they would return for the 17th. If a vendor does not occupy that space by 8:00 am, the space becomes available for a new vendor. We generally have 5 to 10 available spaces. If you wish, let me know which Saturday you would like to vend and I will mark it on our sheet. Thank you for your interest in the Lions Flea Market.

Good evening Tamia...I checked the weather report and the rain should stop around 2 am. If the weather is clear we will be open. I don't see your name on the vendor list but you can check in at the Lions space (Row 1 Space 2) and they should be able to assign you an open space. (Spaces are reserved from previous weekends until 7 am).

Cost is $20 per space. Proceeds go to our charity projects. Tables are not provided. Flea markets will resume in mid-to-late April 2022.
Hello Haj, You are definitely encouraged to attend on Saturday. We do have a vendor registration/registration system but you can take any unoccupied space after 7:00 am. There are many vendors who sell pre-owned items (like power and hand tools, etc.) as well as brand new things. Of course firearms, ammunition and food are not allowed. Hope to see you there Saturday. Good morning Ursula, Yes, if you talking about Paparazzi Women's jewelry, that would be great! (I had to look it up, lol). The next flea market will be Saturday, August 29th. We have reserved spaces where vendors are guaranteed their space until 7 am that morning. After 7 am, any new vendors may occupy an unused space. $20/space collected around 9 am. The location is at the VRE Backlick Road Station parking lot behind Burger King. Corner of Backlick Road and Hechinger Drive at 6900 Hechinger Drive.
The Lions Flea Market has re-opened for 2021 with CDC recommended practices (social distancing and face masks). We are open most Saturdays. I am checking on potential Sunday schedules with our third club.
