I had to rent a vehicle for approximately three weeks duration when attending to my elderly mother's health concerns in Maryland. I was very encouraged by an upgrade from a midsize car to a minivan that had all the bells and whistles. (Chrysler Pacifica) at no extra charge. This enabled us to get all my mother's luggage (four suitcases) and a wheel chair and a rollator along with our luggage in one vehicle to transport to DCA. We felt blessed by the service people from start to finish and the value of the rental. Thanks Budget!

Horrific experience. Multi hour wait. Abusive staff. Not just abusive to me, abusive to everyone in an extensive line (30+ people.) So abusive that a complete stranger next to me sought to intervene when I was being verbally berated, intimidated, and run around. One of the sadistically mean counter staff demanded my phone from me when they thought I was talking to customer service. She then told me she was “reporting me to airport management.” She refused to give me her name. My credit card and license were taken and shuffled about. I had to ask for them back. They tried to give me a car with extensive damage, with no corporate means to document the damage. No line-drawn picture to mark the damage and submit prior to taking the car. Ultimately, in the garage, a manager named Kameron gave me a different car with absolutely no paperwork. He said he’d changed the reservation on the spot. He also had to let me out of the garage since no one was at the gate. Now, I have erroneous billing of more than twice the quote -- for a car I never had. They charged me for someone else’s bill. I’m following up with all necessary channels. I watched as other customers were treated horribly— after a multiple hour wait — sent to find cars that weren’t there or that had been rented to other parties. Kept at the booking desk and run around. I believe there are grounds for a class action suit regarding the abuse, misrepresentation, erroneous billing, etc. at this branch.

Worst customer service experience ever! Waited in-line, in front of the service counter, for 2 hours 45 minutes to get registered and get the car. Only one person was working the counter on a busy Sat morning in Baltimore. We had reserved a car and pre-registered on-line, it still took 2 hours and 45 minutes to get the car. How do they stay in business?

But its infrequent and the facility is 15 mins away. Plan on 45 mins from the time youbget your luggage to get to the facility.
Should be credited back to your card you used for the days you didnt use

I don't know about a debit card but we were BWI yesterday and there was like 20 of us in line and no cars available. One guy in back was trying to clean cars as they became available, 4 workers at the counter twiddling their thumbs as we all waited. All the other rental counters were closed. No cars. One and 1/2 hours later at 7pm, the Budget counter closed, sent us to the AVIS counter who had told us 30 minutes before that they didn't have cars. Everyone in line LITERALLY started running yto the AVIS counter. We and others said forget it and hired Ubers. We paid $75 for an Uber to Frederick, MD. We had "reservations" at Budget we made 6 months ago. Sure they will give you a reservation, they just won't give you a car.

Definitely give yourself 45 minutes to an hour early just in case. The shuttle's are fairly quick. I only waited 10 minutes.

Every time I have been to this location there is a long line. I agree with Dominique, rent online. You can get way better deals that way too.
The one time I returned to a different place it was an additional $100, but I cleared that before I left. It would be worth calling if you're willing to pay.
