We sat in the garage roll up door patio area with the doors closed due to heat but had a great view of the river. Certainly want to experience a day with the doors open, so we'll be back at some point! There's another outdoor patio as well, but we needed indoors this time. I was surprised to find a seafood restaurant in this area but I read other Google reviews and wanted a local spot so we went for it. We were thrilled with our experience. David and Kirsten were our servers and they had fabulous service. Checked in as appropriate and even gave us space when we said we were going to do some work for a bit after we ate. Hush puppies were delicious and the jalapeno cornbread was a pleasant surprise! Both held wonderful flavor. I ordered the tuna melt and she crab soup, my co worker had scallops and broccolini. As good as the melt was, the she crab soup was amazing! I read another review saying how good it was and that's why I decided to try it, plus David said it was one of their popular items. It does not disappoint! The flavor and the quantity were fantastic. For a small cup of soup, it's packed with crab meat! My co worker said the scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was really yummy. As odd as it is, I got the creme brulee to go to take home to my husband. We enjoyed it that evening for dessert together and while I'm sure it would have been best fresh, it still had amazing taste and the creaminess was spot on. The only thing negative was a little bit of the brulee was a little over done as it had a touch of burnt taste. Highly recommend Scotties on the River!

Maybe we dined on an off night, but of all the items ordered, only one had good flavor and seemed well prepared, the shrimp salad. The name is a little misleading (not much salad to it), but the ingredients and overall taste was very good. The crab cake was more filling than crab. The taste was fairly bland. The stuffed shrimp also had zero flavor and was coated in something that tasted like white gravy. The fried lobster was just so-so. Our server made a big deal about it being 14 ounces, but there was not that much lobster once the fried shell was discarded! Based on what I saw at tables around us, I think the fried shrimp and other seafood might be the best dishes. Their hushpuppies are great, maybe the best thing we had at our table. Staff is friendly and reasonable efficient, although he never brought the oysters we ordered. The place was jammed when we arrived around 7:00 PM, but cleared out by the time we finished dinner. Service was slow, but I attribute that to the heavy crowd.

This is an experience for the books. We (a family of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids) arrived at the restaurant around 1815hrs. The waitress brought out a large vase of ice water with scorching hot glasses that were stacked and a few were cracked. No big deal, we brush it off, swap out glasses and order our drinks along with a draft beer and top shelf margarita. Our drinks (not the bar drinks) came out about 5 minutes after ordering and we went on to order our food, After waiting about 20 minutes, or bar drinks finally came out. The margarita was water, where the ice was and the beer was hot from sitting out. We choked the drinks down and waited another FIFTY minutes for our food to come out cold, floppy and absolutely nasty. The Brussel sprouts still frozen on one plate, the broccolini cold and watery, the burger we ordered was missing everything it showed to come with on the menu and the sweet potato fries were hard and cold. Our kids couldn’t eat their popcorn shrimp plates due to the freezer burn taste. My husband and I requested to speak with the manager, mind you the waitress was wonderful, we had no complaints and we had no issues waiting on our food; the problem was waiting for it to be atrocious. The manager comes out of the kitchen, looking like a soup sandwich, stains all over with her hair everywhere. She proceeds to tell me “it’s a busy Saturday and I don’t understand what they go through, they just had a large crowd leave and she knows that there was no food holding for fifty minutes.” Said manager had the absolute WORST attitude I had ever dealt with when it came to customer service. I get having a bad day; I answer 911 calls for a living, I wasn’t trying to belittle her and we reiterated that we didn’t mind waiting at all but if we had to wait, it would be nice to have warm food. We sat and listened for a few minutes to her loudly excuse her kitchen staff before she took our untouched plates and left. The photos attached are what $89 worth of food looks like, if it would have come out fresh, this review would have been a good one. Last but not LEAST, when I asked the waitress if they “tip shared,” to prevent manager “Karen” from having my money, she said they didn’t and we apologized that our cold food turned into such an issue. She then apologized to us and went on to explain that this is how this manager acts every day, for every shift. That’s sad. These employees are dealing with a horrible manager (photo of soup sandwich has been added for your enjoyment)

David is the ONLY reason I gave a 5 star review...otherwise I would of left a 3/4. David was our server and he was seriously one of the best waiters I've had ever!!! So funny, personable and attentive. However , when we first got here...we (a party of 7) waited to be acknowledged for a good let's say 5 minutes and ignored by several employees. When the hostess finally arrived she was unprofessional and to be nice I'll say blonde. (But I wish to use another word.) 2nd we paid over $200 and didn't even get at least a free scoop of ice cream for my 9 year Olds birthday. I'm sorry. ....but if your resturant is picked to celebrate a birthday. ..the LEAST they could of done was give a free scoop of ice cream or a small slice of cake...I mean SOMETHING!!! Food was good. Not bad, not great.

The wait staff wears masks, there's an outdoor deck and sanitizer everywhere. They're also spacing out tables.

They are open and have updates on their website if that were to change. There is an outdoor patio for seating and the seating inside alternates between every other table to allow for social distancing/6 feet apart.

Do you accept reservations? I was going to plan a birthday lunch there.
