My fiancé was hit by a car in 2021 while crossing a crosswalk. It was an incredibly devastating moment, and she was lucky to be alive after a fractured wrist, broken bones in her foot, and abrasions all over her body. Not to mention the new reality of rehabilitation both psychologically and physically at the age of twenty-two. Neither of us had been in a situation like that before. We didn’t understand how quickly we needed to act w/ finding legal help, and to be honest, we didn’t have the energy to deal with a big search at the time. Luckily, my fiancé’s sister came across Silberstein, Awad & Miklos online. She read a lot of great reviews and really liked what she saw on the website. Coincidentally, a day later, after telling a friend of mine about the accident, they also recommended Attorney Miklos’s office for representation. Joe and Dan Miklos actually came to our apartment to meet with us because my lady was in no condition to leave. I’ll never forget how great they were that evening. We were down to 2 final choices for representation and Joe’s presence during that visit sealed the deal for her. My fiancé went with his office, and nearly 2.5 years later, I can’t tell you all how happy we are with our choice. The communication was totally transparent during these tough times. Joe and team were VERY clear as to the steps my fiancé needed to take in order to give herself the best shot at a fair settlement/trial result. There were times that months went by without any action, any results, any anything… but Joe told us that there would be some slow moments. She needed to heal and the only way that was going to happen was to give it time. So even in those frustrating moments when it seemed like “DOES ANYBODY CARE ABOUT THIS TRAGEDY?!” … we had to remember to play it cool and keep in mind what our lawyer told us. Long story short, my fiancé just settled her case, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. She listened to all their advice and then let them handle it. Although it took a while, we had to remind ourselves that her accident occurred pre-pandemic. So, naturally, that slowed things down. But even in the middle of that mess, we were always able to reach the office with questions or status updates. If you are pondering choices in the Garden City area as to who should represent you in your injury-related accident, I highly recommend Silberstein, Awad & Miklos.

I’ve been looking for a firm to handle my ongoing issues with a chiropractor. This group was one of the first to appear under the search “medical mistake”. I gave them a ring, and they have been exceptional to work with. If I could give ten stars,I would!

This law firm is fantastic. Joe Miklos and the team at ASK4SAM handled my auto accident for me. Excellent communication. They did a thorough job of handling all the details, and helped me with everything. I really appreciated their care and dedication, and I am happy all has been settled and resolved. I would definitely recommend them, and use if needed again in the futire. Thanks again Chelsea and everyone there - I appreciate y'all!

Robert, Chelsea and all the folks over at Silberstein, Awad & Miklos were extremely helpful in helping us resolve my Mother's car accident injury claim. I wasn't sure that I would have time to handle any of this myself so I was recommended to them from a colleague and it was the best decision we made. They took care of handling everything including the communication and resolution with Medicare and the insurance companies. They were thorough and kept us informed throughout the process. I would highly recommend their team to anyone who doesn't want the burden of trying to handle a complex claim themselves.

Medical malpractice case involves professional negligence and as such is governed by negligence statue limitations. However in medical malpractice cases there is a special statue limitations which is 2 1/2 years from the incident complained of. There are exceptions and loopholes which may extend the time to bring such a case. One such extension is the doctrine of continuous treatment. There are others which may be applicable but require a legal analysis of the facts of your case. Please consult with an attorney who specializes in medical malpractice cases as soon you think you may have a case.
Our firm helps people who have been injured by the negligence of others. These cases typically involve medical malpractice, automobile accidents, fall cases and construction site accidents.
