Great place for a walk any season. Nice trails.

This "treatment plant" is nothing like one would expect. To understand it one has to forget *every* pre-conceived notion and emotion, and start from scratch. I have attended two large business type events in their meeting room. My wife's hiking group has walked miles here on the beautiful trails. Our grandkids have been awed by the tours. If it were near a freeway rest stop it would be jam packed every day. But it's not, and it isn't. It feels like a peaceful park or botanical garden.

I attended a field trip with my son to the plant and it was pretty interesting. There's some learning activities that give you a good idea of how water is used and distributed, not sure how many kids would think that was fun or not. The buildings are new and have a modern look and the walkway areas are nice for a short stroll.

It may seem strange to rate a treatment plant, but this facility has an excellent hands on learning center that will interest both young and old. They offer free tours to the public once a month as well. We recently attended a workshop on composting and choosing native garden plants. Wastewater treatment is necessary, but I love that they've made the plant accessible and educational.
