On several occasions lately I’ve had it take 2-3 business days for them to scan in an item dropped off at either the counter or outside collection box. Not sure what they are doing during this timeframe. I’ve also had items returned to sender prior to the 14 day pick-up period or 30 days for international. Manager says he will give you a call if they lose a package and never does.

Totally needs benches all around the office for peeps to sit while waiting FOREVER. I've waited 20mins 1 guy at counter the whole time who knows how long he was there b4 me. Only 2 windows open still 6 more peeps to go in front of me, line is completely around office

No. The mail reaches the post office for delivery THAT DAY at 4am. Mail carriers come in a couple hours later and take it out for delivery before the retail unit is open. No mail is stored at the post office. You can put your mail on hold at www.usps.com
This is not the case. If the post office recieves a letter that states you are unable to reach your mail box from your physician they will deliver, this policy was put in place otherwise everyone could claim this and receive service. I saw your review and noticed your apartment office no longer accepts parcels. If the mail carrier had to deliver parcels to everyone to the door it would take them all day, time which they do not have. I suggest suggesting to your office to put in a Amazon locker that they are able to put any packages into, not just the Amazon ones. Serveral apartment complexs have them in the area and it allows the carrier to take out all parcels for delivery and the office isnt responsible for them.
I work for the post office. My recommendation is that you give the bundle back to your carrier (minus yours of course) and all of it will be redelivered the next day. Leaving the magazines in your mailbox with a note will work too but you will have more success having it not happen again if you actually tell him/her whats happening. Hope that helps.
