VERY DISAPPOINTED... To find out that they paint the entire apartment when the resident (of two years) moves. But because one wall was painted in a light color (accent wall) they kept all but $25 of the residents deposit. This person paid their rent on time in full every month and at least a week early as well. Left the place clean, turned in keys early, it's only the 21st day of the month and the apt has already been painted and rentable. Nails are allowed in the walls. It's kinda petty to keep an elderly disabled person's deposit...the money was much needed by the tenant who lives on disability payments. Office staff is rude, parking sucks,. There's more. I do NOT recommend moving to the "ORCHARD".

Thankfully before I signed any lease I found out the have fewer parking spaces than residents and you will have to park across a very busy street in a grocery store parking lot and just hope you don't get towed.

I really enjoy living at the Orchard. I moved back in April 2022, because I miss the social community. As a senior we need social inter-action to improve our mental health. My experience with the office staff is awesome! They always make me feel special. The activities department, is great. We can do aerobic classes, zumba, line dancing and yoga. Karaoke on Saturday and Latin dance class on Monday. Church on Sunday, bible study on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Shuttle bus takes me to shopping mall, walmart. Hobby lobby, post office, doctors, out to lunch and many other places that enhance my active senior life style. I'm blessed to live here, and hope you will too.

I am a current resident and for the most part I have no complaints…except one. There should be assigned parking for RESIDENTS ONLY!! It is inconceivable to me that, as a rent paying resident, I should not have an assigned parking spot. Even if I can’t get an assigned spot there should be other options available. I should not feel that I can’t go anywhere because I’m afraid that when I return there will be no spots available in the complex parking lot! I came home this evening and the only empty spot was too small for my compact car because an oversized pickup truck was taking up two spots! There is no parking enforcement here at all! I should not have to park in the shopping center across the street and walk back to my apartment at night while praying I don’t get towed-however, if I DO get towed guess who’s getting the bill!! Something needs to be done about this because it is totally unacceptable!! If I pay rent here I should be able to park here!

Orchard Mesa Active Senior Living 55+ | Nov 6, 2019

Our rent prices aren't adjusted according to income, but your monthly income does need to be two times the monthly rent to qualify financially.

If you can't qualify on your own, can you have someone under 55 live with you tgat can help you qualify? [For the 2 times income]

Vanessa, Our apartments rent for $611 to $726, depending on location, for a 12 month lease. Security deposit on approved credit is $150. SRP is our electric provider, and the resident pays their electric, cable, telephone, internet. There are some very good apartment locaters available that would be more experienced to answer questions regarding low cost housing. They don't charge the client, which would be you, and their services are invaluable when you're looking at comparable communities. We wish you success in your search for your new home!
