I spent 8 hours here today trying to figure out what is wrong with my 15-year-old son. I have zero complaints other than the fact that I was there all day but that was because we needed to wait for an MRI and that was a four hour wait. Every single employee of Phoenix Children’s Hospital was polite professional courteous and communicated with us. I feel badly for families who have to choose the parent that gets to stay because only one can thanks to Covid regulations. Additionally, the cafeteria ROCKS I thought that my chicken quesadilla was bomb diggity and it was cheap! I told my family I’m going to take you down to PCH cafeteria once a week for a night out because the food was that good πŸ˜‚. THANK YOU PCH for a good ER experience ❀️ . **** update **** beware of their billing practices. I never received a bill from their neurology department, get a phone call about my outstanding debt Oct 6th, question it asked politely for a bill which finally arrived snail mail dated 10/7 and 11 days later I’m sent to collections before they even had the opportunity to collect on that money due the 29th I would not recommend them after what I dealt with using the papaya app to pay for my emergency room bills combined with this absurd $12.27 bill that I had no idea about until recently being sent to collections. I will never use PCH again or recommend them to others based upon this experience.

On 10/30/2022 The Attending Physician: Petchel, Whittney S. and the Rn: Johnson, Jayci (RN ) that were assisting/treating my daughter refuses to listen to me when I stated several times that what they called a foreign body seems to be attached and it may be a eye papilloma. I asked them if they have one on staff if they can call the ophthalmologist. The Rn and Doctor both discussed i front of my husband, my daughter and I how they will not call because they're unsure if it’s an emergency or not and they don’t know what it is but they want to continue with trying to remove it with tweezers a second time after the first two attempts by the Rn was unsuccessful. The doctor and the Nurse proceeded to try to remove the eye papilloma with tweezers after giving the medicated eye drops 20 minutes prior. Ignore the fact my six year old daughter’s eye was bleeding a nice amount to have running bloody tears falling down both ends of her eye, as well as her yelling and kicking. Over all the worst experience I have ever had in any hospital to watch my child be traumatized and my concerns be ignored, as well as yelled at by the RN and belittled by both medical staff members. The absolute worst children's ER I have ever been to. Referred 3 times and each time sat for almost 6 hours before leaving. Why get referred if you never get seen??? Also, who ever is in charge of the scheduling should be fired! I would rather drive to Yuma then come back here again. One nurse was so rude about calling names and would say it so quietly that it makes you think they don't even want to see patients.

Been waiting 12 hours to have our son looked at after his finger was amputated by a dog.. not one person came to check on him, people with runny noses where being put ahead of us.. shame on the owners, the staff and anyone of power that works here

Im not sure, as everyone has different experiences. They've moved the ER to the West side of the campus and its all new. Perhaps during construction it was chaotic. but we've always had great experiences. Our son has had multiple procedures here. Although we always 4emind hes non verbal and utilizes a wheelchair 100 percent of the time. Staff is always friendly, courteous, and professional. PCH takes great care of our kiddos.
