I found a blessing for my health and her name is Dr. Laura Vogel Abernathie, MD. She took the time to listened to my issues and created a corrective and easy to follow plan. She will make sure you receive the best care and she cares! Her point of action is to have you back on point and in better health than when you arrived seeking medical assistance. As long as she is there, you will have the best treatment and one of Arizonas top Doctors in my opinion. She repaired my hip labrum, has excellent communication skills, awesome follow-up, and did an amazing job for my procedure.

I saw Dr. Johnsen he walks in and gives everyone the same lecture… Every time I'm in there he keeps talking about my quadricep being a battery, you can tell it's well rehearsed and he does the lecture 15 times per day. Staff is a mixture of aggressive and passive aggressive, just surviving and tolerating their shift. If you're patient asking for help you're made to feel useless and incompetent that you don't know the rules that they work in every day. Do not look for help here, do not have surgery here, they don't have any help for you.

Dr. Johnsen completed my surgery, when the surgery was done no one would help me get pictures of the meniscus which I was told would be given to me. Staff are very good about telling you to go to another staff or go to another office or call this person with that person, someone will call you about that at a later time. There is no accountability, only get this person to be quiet and get them out of the office. It is an assembly line of people coming in and going out, if you do anything to hold of the assembly line then you are the nail that is standing out and you will get hammered with their passive aggressive looks and comments. I continue to ask for the meniscus images on 5 of the follow ups, I was sent on wild goose chases is all around the building while in crutches. Staff are passive aggressive and unhelpful. Either lunch at the reception desk and act like they're bothered when you ask for a follow up appointment. I asked the office manager to call me after I waited over 40 minutes and one follow up appointment. No one ever ended up calling me or taking me into the backyard to see the doctor for a follow up. I ended up losing a lot of money on my own business, clearing out hours out of my schedule. There will be no reimbursement, no apologies. I asked receive a car for another follow up appointment. I never received a call, only a text message stating when I was supposed to show up at the appointment. Of course if I don't show up at an appointment and there's a problem with the surgery then I'll be considered a non-compliant patient. I had surgery this place so you wouldn't have to. I made the mistake, please do not make my mistake.
