Beautiful views on a summer day. Challenging with my accessibility walker, but we made it work. Disabled parking close to bathrooms, but not the bridge. And the bathrooms were dirty.

This was an absolutely beautiful place! There is a fun pathway on each side of both ends of the bridge to go and explore. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! I highly recommend visiting this spot at least once in your life! Even on a day with not great weather it was still gorgeous! Plus it is fun seeing all the harbor seals down below in the water occasionally!

There are rails along the bridge for pedestrians. It’s a two lanes bridge. We experienced the thrill of walking on the bridge, very windy but beautiful views from different angles.

Amazing bridge. Love how the spans leap from the cliffs and trees across such a beautiful (and treacherous) stretch of water. Spent a few hours trying to find the best viewpoint for the bridge. I’d say the Lighthouse Point Trail on the north side of the bridge offers the most unobstructed view of both spans. Unfortunately, as of this post, half of the southern span is covered for repairs. Still with a visit despite the construction.

No not til the 17th, but it states then it will be closed for repairs during certain hours. WDOT has all the info you will need to know. Hope this helps
My guess that it was named after the Deception Pass strait separating Whidbey Island from Fidalgo Island
Drive and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
It should be open... there is some construction going on, but you are able to cross the bridge in both directions and also enjoy all of the trails and viewpoints.
