Dr. Hughes and Tyler were so helpful! The front staff was great for getting us in the same day we needed for our dog. We had been turned away from other hospitals due to being too full and I was so grateful they saw us during our time of urgent need.

What I liked: $80 exam fee vs $115 or higher elsewhere, vaccines fair market price, was able to be seen in 2hr time window the same day I called which was great. People all very nice. What I didn't like is the exam was the vet looking kind of for 2 seconds under my dog's hind leg and checking her heart...that's it. For $80, that's pretty lame. However, I've been to two other places and it was the same. It feels like it's just to take your money and I don't like that.
The Truth Teller
So, today is my first time visiting this vet office. Their appointment process for new pets are ridiculous and pretentious. Also, it is to get the most client in the door in a given day. However, the facility is close to my home; therefore, I acquiesced to the silly process. Nevertheless, I informed the facility that my dog may have some discomfort that started three days ago; however, my dog's discomfort has significantly reduced due to me giving him some turmeric which has ant- inflammatory and pain relieving properties. My dog was given a botched exam (more like touching-not checking his heart or running a full body exam) on his back and I was told that I would need $1000.00 worth of tests. I was told that since my dog is 8 years old, he needs to have blood work done to ascertain as to whether his kidney, liver and etc. are functioning the way it should. The one thing that I appreciate about being a New Yorker, is that we know when we are being hustled, and I was being hustles from the moment is stepped into the vet's office. I let the tech know that I felt like they are ordering unnecessary tests for my dog; however, I was told that it is necessary due to my dog's age; however, I was there to get an assessment of the discomfort of my dog and establish him as a new client. Since I was not going to fall for the BS, the tech told the trainee that she would get me the invoice and move on to the next patient, she should of said the next victim. Because of the pandemic, a lot of these vet offices are inflating prices and ordering unnecessary tests to make a profit. Do not fall for these people BS. If they request various tests, you can contact another vet's office and act as though you want to become a new patient to get an insight as to whether any of the tests are suggested. Do not allow these people to fear you or bully you into getting tests and services that your dog don't need. We are our dogs' advocates; therefore, we should never allow vets to recommend unnecessary poking/tests, procedures, and services that our dogs don't need. It is a form of animal abuse. The scariest thing about this new vet hustle, is that I'm reluctant to get dental work done on my dog, due to fear that they might recommend extraction just to pay their mortgage.

I don’t recommend this facility, I used it for the same day appointment to get a urine analysis for my dog as quick as possible. Our regular vet couldn’t get us in for another day, when I initially called I was quoted $71.50 for the exam and around $40 for the urine analysis — sat in the parking lot for nearly 3 hours waiting for the lab tech to come out and quote me $1583 for a list of completely unnecessary procedures. I felt completely taken advantage of — they claimed my vet never sent the proper paperwork (in fact they did) and the tech was defensive when I questioned why on earth were they were trying to perform vaccinations, allergy testing, blood work etc. it was a waste of 3 hours and $71.50 with no result in what I had actually made the appointment for. I will never return here even for emergency situations.

No but go to the Humane Society they have a fund where you can apply for its $500 if your cat is hurt you'll more than likely get it and it doesn't take that less than a week and it could you could get it quicker because it's an emergency when you walk into the building it's on your left hand side you have to apply for it go and get a estimate basically from a vet telling them how much it's going to cost and put that with it and and put it in the Box let him know you put that in the box and you'll get it value pet clinic isn't all that great
Its a walk-in clinic, but if you register online prior to your first visit, you get a free exam!
No they're only letting people come inside the don't have any cars you're supposed to wait outside with your animal in your vehicle
You can call the humane society in tacoma
They are closed today. But call and ask. It's about $40 now I think to generally have your animal checked
Call to discuss it with them.😎
I don't believe it is on the site. You may need to contact them and ask.
Hopefully ur kitty is better by now. When I took my cat in for flea and deworming, including the visit and meds, it was around 120$
Go to the humane society and ask for the paper for financial aid. They just helped me
The value pet clinic costs a lot more than the Tacoma Cat Hospital. Plus The Tacoma Cat Hospital specializes in cats only and they are a privately owned organization. Their ratings are 5 Stars from begginning to end of their reviews. They have an extreme amount of reviews. Plus if your not rich and dont have a lot of money to just flush and throw away, do not go to the value pet clinic.
I use naturopathic worm drops . You can get it at petco. Its good stuff and it works and its all natural.
All vets will ensure both dental and health wise for animal is taken care of
