I would honestly like to start out by saying that this review is gone towards Joanne Rice, the aquatics swim instructor manager. I started working there in the summer of 2021. Everything was great and smooth. Then towards the beginning of April I started to notice lots of favoritism being shown in favor of specific people. Pay was different, time off was different, and even they way she spoke to people was different. I then decided that this was not the environment that I wanted to be in. I politely told Joanne that I wanted to resign, I told her “thank you allowing me to grow with your team, I no longer will be working here after 2 weeks.” She then proceeded to offer me a raise to see if I would stay. I politely declined the offer, and that’s where everything went south. She then terminated my account, which then not allowed me to clock my hours for the day that I worked that week. I reached out to her, and her responses were very rude. “ how do I clock in my hours, even though my account has been terminated?” “Same as always…” Then she stopped responding, I called HR and payroll after Joanne lied to me and telling me she put a ticket in to payroll in MAY 2022. Long story short she never responded, until I took it higher up, and finally got a check last week October 2022. This was all because I fought for my check, otherwise I would not have gotten paid. I just felt the need to share my experience, and I don’t recommend working for her.
