What is a recreation fee? If you mean a buyers premium, then yes, it's now 15% unfortunately + sales tax unless you have a tax exemption certificate.
Check the website to see the schedule of upcoming auctions. It will have dates. Keep an eye on the site for any time changes also. Best way is to sign up for email notifications on their mailing list.
Again, call the main number on a non-auction day and ask to speak with someone who can help you.
Hello Ms. McGrath, and thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, every time you register for one of our auctions, our bidding system will put a $1 authorization on your card. It's just to verify that your card is valid, and is not an actual charge. Usually within 48-hours or so (depending on your card issuer) the hold on that $1 will be released. It does happen every time you register, so you might not have noticed it before. It's listed in our auction terms, right at the top under "Registration" if you need more details. Hi Jean, Yes you can. You can remove or edit a max bid in the bidding platform as long as the max is higher than the current bid.
