It really depends on a few different factors, your best bet is to bring it into the store so that a Mechanic can look it over.

A bicycle assembly is $75 plus tax and includes a tune up.

If it is surface rust it might be repairable to a point. If the rust has penetrated thought the top coating of nickel or chrome the only option is to have it re-finished.

Yes Darren, they do buy used mountain bikes depending on what brand of mountain bike you have will be decided on how much they give you for your bike I buy all Raleigh's from from Tom at Rick's cycle shop I've been buying bikes from him for a last 35 years they're very good people to deal with when you go down and make sure you ask for Tom
