You can watch batting practice but it will mist likely be the visiting team. You need to be there when the gates open at 5pm to see as much of the batting practice as possible.

Gates for Elton John will open two hours prior to show...I believe he is going on at 8, but unsure if there is an opening act...so I'm guessing gates will open at 6ish

They changed it to a football field , they play high school football playoff games there. Also had a college spring game and a new pro spring team using it as their home field
