I am a young man (20's) that knows almost nothing about adulting and car accidents. For an entire week, anxiety has accumulated within my head after a major car accident ( I have no one to rely on when it comes to these sort of things ) and I was constantly neglected and treated like a delinquent or a criminal by multiple firms and the police officer that has done my report. I seriously have no idea why I was treated in such a way when I knew that the report was done wrong and have witnesses that help support my claim. I called this law firm because its the only thing I could do: call multiple law firms. After constantly being pushed aside without answers, I've talked to one of the most sweetest, knowledgeable lady since I've been here in Texas: Taisha Garrett. I had so many concerns from whether or not I would be in jail and how much in debt I'd be in, and she just informed me about everything on what I should do despite not being able to take my case. She is absolutely godsend. I apologize for sounding really cheesy, but I srsly did not know anything and I have no one (and i mean no one) to rely on. She told me about Personal Injury Protection (aka PIP), UIM/UM coverage, and all those important specifics. She really has made my whole week when she told me all those things. She didn't neglect my issues or treated me as a delinquent just because of a faulty police report. She even took the time to send me a detailed email going over what we've talked about on the phone. I genuinely am grateful for her.

Personal injury lawyers are civil litigators who represent clients – commonly referred to as plaintiffs – alleging psychological or physical injury as result of negligence or careless acts by another person, company, entity, government agency or organization.
Any potential personal injury case requires a detailed understanding of the facts, the processes, and the law. If an accident has impacted your life -- and someone else is liable for that injury -- then you may be entitled to compensation. Learn more by speaking with an injury law attorney near you.
Many factors can affect how you’re compensated after an Uber accident — If the driver was on or off the clock, and what driving status they were in. The nature of the accident and what party is at fault for it, and the extent of damage or injuries that were incurred. Most importantly, it depends on the drivers’ insurance policy — Some insurance providers have partnered with Uber to create better coverage for Uber drivers. Here's something to keep in mind... these companies that are compensating you, don't necessarily have your best interests in mind. They have goals to pay out as little as possible for claims. Make sure your voice is heard and you have the representation you need to get what you deserve.
The amount of money or compensation you are entitled to is based on the extent of damages you sustained from your injury. Damages are measurable harm that you sustained as a direct result of your injury. Each case is unique, so the best way to understand what you are entitled to is to speak to an injury lawyer.
Compensatory damages compensate the injured person for various kinds of losses or damages. These may also be referred to as actual damages. Compensatory damages include economic damages such as medical bills and lost wages, or non-economic damages such as pain and suffering, mental anguish, or inability to lead a normal life.
Generally speaking, adult individuals considering making a personal injury claim have two years from the date of the accident or incident to file the claim. Depending on the circumstances, the statute of limitations may vary.
If you’ve been involved in any type of auto accident, here’s what you should do: 1. Contact local authorities – report the accident, get emergency assistance if needed. 2. Gather evidence – If injuries permit, take pictures, get witness info, document everything. 3. Seek Medical Attention – Even if you’re injuries aren’t severe, have them documented. 4. Contact a personal injury lawyer – Do this BEFORE speaking with the insurance company. We can help you get started with your claim and guide you.
In Texas, pain and suffering claims are bucketed into a larger category called “non-economic damages.” To determine the extent of noneconomic damages, jurors consider the following: · The type of injury sustained and the severity · How the injury affects daily life · Limitations on quality of life · How long the injury/conditions can last for
That’s an easy one. Contact us! Our Texas personal injury lawyers will review your claim for FREE. If you believe the person/party responsible for your injuries was negligent or careless, then you’re in the right place.
The mistake of taking on the personal injury claims process (without a lawyer) is one that’s quite common. You need to be thinking about how this injury affects you right now AND for the rest of your life. What happens if you settle for an amount that’s less than what you need or what if you don’t settle your case at all? A potentially life-changing verdict. Personal injury lawyers only get paid when they win your case. They are on YOUR side. You should always involve a lawyer in a personal injury claim.
