If I could give -500 stars I would. My partner and I moved into Echo Mountain before they changed their name from Montclair Heights. While we were submitting our applications, they didn't tell us about their name change. We also had our move in pushed back because they didn't realize the previous tenants didn't surrender their keys until a week before our initial move-in date. While we were living there, we've had multiple maintenance issues within the first 2 months of our lease. Many of which could have been fixed before we moved in. We also had strange electrical issues connecting to our stove fan, leaking under the kitchen sink, bathroom vent not working, you name it. The issues that did get fixed took sometimes weeks to get fixed. We then had an issue with mold that kept us out of the second bedroom of our apartment for nearly half of our lease due to part of the wall having to be cut open and a chunk of carpet padding being removed. One of the leasing office staff told us initially to use household bleach to kill the mold before they got anyone else involved. About 2 or 3 months before we moved out, my partner submitted a maintenance request for the holes and carpeting to get fixed after months of them not communicating with us about the issue. They fixed it within a few days. Overall I don't feel like they actually care about their tenants and I don't feel like they take the safety of their tenants seriously as there have been multiple cases of the police being onsite and no communication on how they will prioritize community safety.

Look for another place. Not here. Really. We lived here for 2 years. In that time I witnessed the immediate aftermath of a shooting where one boy was carted away in an ambulance. We had a toilet completely crack in half and flood the kitchen with 100 plus gallons of water. The kitchen sink was dysfunctional for almost 2 months. They threatened eviction when they needed the trash cans gone for pressure washing.... based on a picture of a paper towel stuck to the inside bottom of the valet trash can. Additionally, during a power outage they refused to manually open the garage so people could go to work. We were told to wait for PSE to turn the power on again 5 hours later. Additionally the smell of marijuana was our constant companion for most of the two years. It's a non-smoking facility and yet they refuse to enforce the rules. Barking dogs at any hour of the night... Right outside the office and yet they never seem to notice or care. And then the cleaning fees after we left were exorbitant. Thank God we left before they raised the rent 25%. Sound like home sweet home to you? [Brittany, why do you think you know who I am? And why would I waste my time talking to someone arrogant and in love with petty power? I would sooner send a lawyer.]

Overall my experience living at Echo Mountain has been good. The community works hard to keep things pleasant and clean. The pool is great in the summer and the gym helps me keep my 6 pack fabulous;) There is a sense of belonging as the kids play together and even staff engages the youngsters by letting them help out. Work orders are handled timely and staff try to be friendly and helpful. I don’t have any urgent concerns and when something comes up the staff is easy to talk to that’s why I am giving 5 ⭐️‘S.

I really like this property. It is clean, the units are updated and really nice, and the staff is really friendly. Especially Mikhaila she's very nice and is the reason i moved in. There is plenty of resident parking and lots of guest parking available in certain areas. The property has alot of storage and garage space for cars and the units It is quiet and has a good variety of amenities. So far any issues I have had regarding maintenance have been handled quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this property!
