Understaffed. They didn't ensure all the residents had gotten their meals. I visited in the late afternoon and the person I was there visiting hadn't even been served their breakfast. It was cold in his room, we had to give him the tray.

No doubt about it!.....The heavy vigorous labor of using my hands day in and day out put a new lease on my life in a way.....It kicked procrastination behind me and put serious demands on my time and continual attention, and the best of all living generations from preschool to Age 111 were my daily portion. I am thankful for my service years as an employee of the catholic care and deliverance I found there to learn the hard lessons of life and make my stand for who I want to be. The sun really is promised everyday....and we young people have to honor and thank our elders every day for getting us this far in life. I approve of my blue collar 5 day a week uniform hospitality service years.

My grandmother spent some time in Marianwood recovering from surgery a couple of years ago, and had a very positive experience. All of the nursers, physical therapists, and other staff members were great!

My mother suffered a broken hip and required surgery. Afterward, she stayed at Marianwood to recover and rehabilitate. They had her back up and walking around in what seemed like no time! The staff was knowledgeable, responsive and super upbeat when working to help her back to independence. We have a big family and no matter how many of us asked questions about her progress, Mom's caregivers were always pleasant and filled us in. She even enjoyed the food!! There is plenty of natural lighting, and windows looking out at gardens almost anywhere you walk in the building. The place is so clean! There is none of that 'nursing home' smell to it. I would highly recommend Mariawood.
