Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very clean and friendly place. I started working out there seven years ago. Though there has been turnover of staff from time to time, the staffing has remained consistently well trained and excellent. Worked with a personal trainer for my first year who was excellent. The equipment was consistently well maintained and new equipment was added.

Back in 2020 I started with Anytime Fitness in Janesville on W. Court St. It was fantastic. I paid for a year of personal training for myself and my wife in a lump some (it was expensive but worth it.) I also started us each a monthly subscription. It went great! Seth and Tim really took care of us. My wife lost 40lbs and I lost 65. Shortly after we each hit those milestones the Gym on W. Court closed on January 1st 2021. I decided to stick it out with them despite having the option to cancel my subscription right then and there. A friend of mine, who had a membership at Planet Fitness noticed how much weight I lost and asked me if I could train her for a bit. I agreed and convinced her to get a membership at Anytime because of my good experience with them. The caveat was that she lived in Beloit so she had to start her membership there and would not have access to the Janesville facility right away. That was fine by me. I still wanted to help her. I remember Becky angrily asking me "Do you even have a membership here?" which rubbed me the wrong way but I let it go. I trained friend and my wife 3 days a week at the Beloit facility for a month or 2 and was notified that my membership was transferred to the Beloit facility automatically. I already didn't like this but I didn't make a fuss about it. Once my friend's membership allowed her to access the Janesville gym on highway 14 we started going there again but we stopped before my membership could be transferred back. We fell off the wagon and decided to cancel our memberships on 8/11/21. We first called the Janesville location and spoke to Kayla who was able to cancel the personal training portion of our membership but they directed me to call the Beloit location to cancel the membership portion. When we called the Beloit location (I do not remember who we spoke to here) they stated that they didn't have our membership and that we needed to call the Janesville location back to which we obliged. When we called Janesville we got Kayla again who stated that there must be some miscommunication and that she would call the Beloit location to get it straightened out and that if we needed to do anything more on our end she would call us back. We never received a call. Believing the cancellation was successful we enrolled at a family owned gym in Janesville (They are amazing people). The membership for both of us at the new gym was $53.00 per month which is the exact amount my wife's half of our subscription was at Anytime. We never noticed that Anytime was still charging us for a year because of this. Having truly believed that we no longer had any sort of access to Anytime Fitness we had not used their facility for a year for any purpose whatsoever. I reached out to Becky asking for a refund due to the miscommunication but she refused. Only offering to cancel the unused membership going forward. She said her policy is to only cancel if someone fills out a form. This was a policy we were only made aware of days ago. Becky has effectively taken exactly $636 away from us against our will. She cited that she and her trainers reached out to my wife on several occasions. My wife believed the texts were marketing attempts to get her back as they said vague things like "How's your workout going?" and "Hope to see you in soon." I offered to take less than the $636 since it was a miscommunication and yet she still refused to yield a single cent. And even got my wife to sign her cancellation document which has verbiage that would make it impossible to recover the funds. I spent thousands with Anytime before this and was very happy with the franchise but now I will never associate with them again. Response to owner: This is the first time I am hearing you were willing to work with us at all. The last message I saw from you said that you were only willing to move forward with a cancellation. I had a relationship with Janesville. Not you. I NEVER wanted to be part of your club and this solidifies my feelings on it.
