Best hotel in SF, period. It’s one of those “if you know, you know, if you don’t, you don’t” types of hotels. Some people will choose newer and more contemporary hotels, but this hotel is built like a castle and will probably sit atop Nob Hill forever. It’s also worth noting that I’ve seen the same guests over the years, and the staff is absolutely incredible. Best location, best views, like I said, best hotel.

Service was great. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. However, room looked warn, elevator buttons didn't work and television was small. I'm writing this review from a Holiday Inn Express with the same towels and better sheets. If you're gonna call yourself a luxury hotel, you gotta deliver.

Positive: The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were luxurious. Hotel staff was generally knowledgable and friendly. A couple staffers went out of there way to address issues. Negative: Overpriced. Windows could not be opened (thanks to lawyers) but also did not fully close and allowed a lot of street noise in. Breakfast took about 40 minutes to be served one day, then had an automatic gratuity on the bill.

The property is beautiful. We had fantastic views of the city and enjoyed some craft cocktails in the Tonga Room. Everything felt luxurious and the staff went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Cannot wait to return.

The Laurel Room does serve lunch. A reservation is generally not needed, but contact the hotel directly for more information. The Tiki Themed, Tonga Room Restaurant does not serve lunch.
You can get to it from within the hotel and you have to pay $15 a day to use it as a hotel guest. I presume they are separate legal companies and the gym is just like a concession in a department store. Depends what you mean by affiliated really and why you are asking.
Well
Get off at Embarcadero. Go north about one block to Sacramento and take the #1 bus to Powell. Or take the cable car on California.
I believe it will it is not just a get off right out front. You mite have to walk a block or two.
Call the main number and ask the front desk, hope you get it back.
Not sure. I was just visiting and it's been ages since I had been there.
