Visited today for Resurrection Sunday. Very disappointed with how little was focused on Christ and how much was man centered. The sermon only mentioned portions of scripture (after 20 minutes into it), and there was a poor job of explaining/sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. HOW CAN THIS BE ON THE PIVOTAL DAY FOR THE CHRISTIAN FAITH?! The music lyrics were the same, with the exception of "In Christ Alone" and possibly one other song. I was horrified by the lack of true worship and the lack of respect and veneration of our LORD. Sixty plus minutes of stories, member videos, anecdotes, and inspirational quotes from famous people is not worship. This is a motivational concert/ speech. Very non-intellectual for those who wish to worship the Lord of the universe with their whole MIND, body, soul, and strength. Very lacking in theological depth, when the focus should be all about God and the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone who is serious about their faith and wants to grow in the knowledge of God should be wary of going here.

Community Christian Plainfield is everything you would ever want in a Church. Its a place of worship, family, and community. A place to raise your children, a place where you can connect with others and most importantly a place that no matter where you are in life and your relationship with God you are welcomed. My teenage children would rather go to this Church then anywhere else, How amazing is that!

I initially visited Community Christian Church Plainfield because of the Contemporary worship. And the relevant teaching. Several years later, my wife and I are still attending because of the friendships and relationships we have developed and the community projects we are involved in. I highly recommend Community Christian Church, to find Christ for the first time or to develop an existing relationship with him!

I’ve never been to this church before. From the reviews it sounds like a great place to be. Is there any services during the week that me and my children can attend?

We believe in the Trinity, we believe that the entire Bible is the is the inerrant Word of God, that Jesus was born of a virgin, that He died on the cross, was in the tomb for three days, was resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. We believe that we are all sinners and that our relationship with Jesus is the only way to to the Father. We believe that we are saved by Grace are baptized into His dead and resurrection.
