We live the people who work and volunteer at S.P.O.T. Our experiences have been nothing short of game changers for our family. First, we adopted our sweet Penny, a lab mix who has won the Best Dog Ever award in our family! Then, we adopted a sweet little kitty boy, "Kim" who quickly became JiJi and has carved out his place in our family. Thank you!

We adopted two kittens recently. The adoption process was easy, and Dawn was friendly and kind. The shelter was clean and the pets were all very well cared for. Our kitties are home and happy, as are we. The adoption fee was $150 per cat+ $15 more for micro chipping. This is very reasonable in my opinion. The cost of veterinary care easily exceeds that by more than double. They came with all their medical and vaccination records, as well as standard bloodwork tests (for F.I.V., etc)

We had an appt this morning to do a meet and great with a puppy, we fell in love with him and had our hearts set. But we got a message two days ago saying sorry I decided to keep him, I got attached, sorry! By this morning, the day we were supposed to see him, his profile said adopted. This was a huge disappointment as we felt like after being interviewed for 20 minutes, setting up a meeting time and day, and basically being told we were first in line. We had our hearts set on this little guy. This was a huge disappointment, which also made us a little angry that we were being treated poorly. We also wondered if she knew she wanted to keep originally and if she was in the process of adopting when she messaged us. Not a adoption agency we will be using in the future and one we won't be recommending out.

Super friendly people went to their day with Santa. They were amazing with my son who is 2 month old, my niece who is five, and my boyfriend's niece and nephews 10 and 13 while helping with my dog Rico who is a handful alone who is just over 1 year old all while they were moving all around. I can't wait to bring my dog back to them. First place I feel comfortable bringing him too.

Go on Petfinder and search available dogs at S.P.O.T... fill out application
If it's more important to you that dogs just be waiting for you to choose from, maybe you should check Craigslist. S.P.O.T. is serious about placing their pets with the right home, and in my experience, an adoption from any legitimate rescue requires patience... Just like successful, responsible dog ownership.
You should make an appointment. (Many of their available pets are at foster homes and have to be brought to the shelter location)
They prefer appointment only, I would recommend calling them for that information.
I would recommend calling them for that information to make sure you get the information you need - ask for Nina or Mary
If you go to www.savingpetsoneatatime.org, there is a drop down for Ways to Help that has volunteer information. It's a great team, you will enjoy volunteering!
Call S.P.O.T in Burlington and ask for Nina
I would recommend calling them for that information to make sure you get the information you need.
It's Christmas, there is no set hours because it is run by volunteers. I would suggest calling them to make sure you get it the information you need when someone might be able to meet you there
