I've been attending divine liturgy here for the past 3 Sundays and I'm enjoying it very much. Standing up the entire service is still difficult for me, but it beats sitting and kneeling all the time during mass (I'm Catholic). The people I've met are all very nice and welcoming as well.

I am married to an Orthodox Russian. This church is much like the ones I visited in Moscow. People are very friendly and warm. As I speak Russian a little, and as a Catholic, I have always been shown the best of hospitality. I have a very deep respect for their faith. Visit this beautiful church if you wish to experience Russian faith, culture, and hospitality.

There's too much to say, truthfully. If you come on Sunday for a Divine Liturgy, afterwards there's a Catechuman class at around 12:45 almost every week and Father Theophan and/or Father Joseph would be more than happy to help you out. Alternatively, if that's just a bit too much, I can give you the number of my boyfriend who would be happy to talk to you about it. Disclaimer: he and I are Catechumen and so he is not an authority, but he has been soaking it in with joy and would love to pour some out.
Yes. ROCOR follows Old Calendar. However, St. Seraphim Cathedral does not belong to ROCOR. We are the parish of the Orthodox Church of America (OCA)
