The staff was very friendly. They were patient with me while I was meeting the dog I came to adopt and didn't rush me. He's been the best dog and is truly part of our family, I can't thank them enough.

I live in Italy. We found a dog in the center of town that had been hit by a car. We took her to the SPCA and they said they couldn't take her and I needed to take her home and call animal control. We begged them to take her because she needed immediate medical care but they refused. When animal control got there he said he was going to take her right back to the SPCA!! I can't believe they did that. I don't think they care about the animals at all!!

SPCA offers to help animals. Live in a rural area that is notorious for abandoned animals but every time I’ve taken a stray to them they refuse to help, asking questions like where do I live and other nonsense isn’t that what they’re there for. I constantly see commercials asking for donations but do they realize that all that money they spent on those commercials they could have saved hundreds if not thousands of animals. I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Multiple staff members were very rude and I received several eye rolls in the middle of a conversation.

If you adopt an animal from the shelter the cost of the adoption covers the chipping, first round of shots and spay/neuter. Once a month they offer low cost spay/neuter for any other animals. You would need to call to find out when
You would want to contact Joan at the shelter. I'm sure she would love to work something out. The weekly or monthly spay and neuter is happening this Friday. If you call up there and talk w her she might let you get them done for a discount.
I think you can and would be welcomed.
Currently they are temporarily closed due to a distemper outbreak
Spay and Neuter network is amazing
Yes. You have to go sign up and find out times that they have available. Most of the time it is 1st come 1st served so get there early.
They do not have Guinea pigs, however, tri city's may have some, call to find out and I know petco and petsmart have them
Dahlia you will need to call them. This is just a public forum for the general public to give helpful info.
If they are under 18 they have to have adult supervision.
How much would you have to pay for a chihuahua?
Probably need to call. There are many vaccinations
You would have to contact you local spca
you will have to call the shelter, these questions are answered by general public
I'm not sure what they would do. You may want to call and find out their protocol. In the meantime, try to find a loving home for the baby kitty
They should. I fostered several families and they found homes for them all! But of course it depends on space. But never hesitate to take them up there.
most non profit organizations do, but you'll have to call to know for sure
Don't go there I adopted a cat in February of this year and it was sick and pregnant. ..was 25.00 to adopt at the time and cost me hundreds to take to vet get medication and then I had to find homes for 6 kittens. ..called them to tell them she was sick and pregnant and they wanted me to fix her before they would even take her back and pay them 60.00 for cat and 60.00 per kitten obviously I kept the 🐱
If your dog is chipped they should have called you
I would call the Dallas Animal Service and ask them first they seem better to me.
What does it look like. Male or Female
Depends on where you found them at.. If in city limits no.. If out of city limits then yes..
No, its a high kill shelter. They will put a mama dog down while she is pregnant.
I think if its a highly adoptable breed or dog that they keep linger
