Petroglyph Spring was a lot prettier than I was expecting! The Petroglyphs were very neat. The hike up wasn't too bad even though you have to climb over some boulders to get to the actual spring. Watch out for wasps and bees. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday evening which was surprising but awesome! I'd definitely visit again when there is more water in the spring.

Nope
The large rocks are towards the end, near the water, so if not able to go over them will have completed about 95% of the trail. It is not a long trail, many people bring their dogs and they seem to enjoy it.
Its right at the main glyphs, but yes most likely not running at this time. Go during or after a rain. Just stay out of the washes if its raining at the time in case of flash flooding.
