Been coming here for over 6 years. Love it so much and our kids have a blast swimming and fishing.

I like Tres Rios, but sadly on my last visit it was very, very dirty. It's a shame that people are so uncivilized.

Not what I expected

Nice morning outing fishing with my husband and son.

Not really sure, the signs say no overnight camping, but there's campgrounds 2 miles to the west in Estrella park
I've seen people out there on tiny little paddle boats. There are no posted rules people are out there swimming so I don't see why not.
Really it depends. You cant camp in the park but in the surrounding area theoretically you could it's pretty rough country and I wouldn't recommend camping.
No No bathrooms or porta potty Nothing.... Gonna have to squat or hold it
Sure. It's a river so I don't see why not. I caught bass, but there is tilapia in there and they do get big! There is also an invasive species of catfish that has an unlimited bag limit and it is recommended you kill them instead of releasing them back to the water (they are an invasive specie that is out of control). I don't believe the invasive catfish is good to eating tho.
Not sure but I don't think you can. Too many people wandering around there.
No food vending, bring your own food and drink
Its not so much the heavy metals as it is the water treatment plant up stream ... Heavy pesticide and sewage treatment byproducts
Yes, you need a license to fish anywhere in az unless it's a private community lake, and then you usually need one of their private community licenses

Blue Gill, spotted trout and bass

You go south down Avondale Blvd and turn into the first entrance at PIR. There is a long strip of parking that you will see some cars at, most of the spots are disabled parking spaces for when the races are held.
Yes, but I am not sure you will want to. It's pretty muddy. Also, the water is treated effluent city water which means it's clean, you probably don't want to swim in it though.
It is a great place to take you dog! I have been going there for a few years. My dog is perfectly fine without a leash. I have had no issues there. Everyone is friendly and you can sometimes see other dogs walking with their owners. It is a great place to let your dog explore and have fun at their own pace. Mine loves to swim in the river!
